Goat Skin Rug
This beautiful little rug came from a Nigerian Dwarf wether (castrated male) goat that was culled for meat on my farm. He was a beautiful pale buckskin with roaning, which causes the silvery look to the dark parks of his pelt. The leather on this rug is very much rug quality - on the stiffer side, and holds a creates (as you can see; though this will come out with time.) However, because it is a rug, this shouldn't be a problem at all.
This pelt was tanned by a colleague of mine as practice and sent back to me for sale. There may be imperfections and I cannot guarantee anything, but the tan should hold up just fine for rug use and be waterproof/spot cleanable with no problems at all.
See photo for approximate measurements. It's a good sized pelt for coming off a little goat.
If you'd like to know about the goat when it was alive, leave me a note when you purchase and I'll give you a little bio!
